Becky Ensor

Business, trusts and agribusiness lawyer advising businesses, landowners and families across Central Otago on commercial transactions, property matters and asset planning.

Based in Alexandra

Becky Ensor is a commercial and property lawyer who advises businesses, landowners and families across Central Otago and wider Otago on a wide range of legal matters. Her practice focuses on business and commercial law, trusts and asset planning, rural and agribusiness matters and property transactions.

Becky works closely with business owners, farmers and property investors to structure transactions clearly and efficiently. She regularly advises clients on business structuring, shareholder arrangements, commercial contracts, leasing arrangements and property transactions, ensuring legal arrangements support the long-term success of their businesses.

Becky also has strong experience in trusts and estate planning. She assists clients with the establishment and administration of trusts, asset protection strategies and succession planning, particularly where business or rural assets are involved.

Before becoming a lawyer Becky worked in the banking industry, giving her valuable insight into commercial and property lending. This background allows her to better understand the financial and practical considerations involved in business transactions and property investments.

Becky is known for her proactive and organised approach and her ability to manage transactions efficiently while keeping clients well informed throughout the process.

Becky works closely with many local business owners and agribusiness clients on an ongoing basis, helping them navigate transactions, growth and succession planning as their businesses evolve. She is building a strong reputation as a trusted adviser for Central Otago businesses seeking practical, commercially focused legal guidance.

She is actively involved in the Central Otago community and provides pro bono legal support to several local organisations. Becky serves as honorary solicitor for Arts and Crafts Alexandra Incorporated and the Alexandra Musical Society Incorporated, and is a founding trustee of the Central Otago Resilience Trust.
