Isabelle is a Solicitor at Checketts McKay Law and a member of the firm’s Family Law, Relationship Property and Criminal Law teams. She is an up-and-coming lawyer who is building a strong reputation for her dedication, work ethic and focus on achieving the best outcomes for her clients.
Isabelle regularly advises clients on a wide range of family law matters, including relationship property divisions, care of children, guardianship, family violence proceedings, dissolution of marriage, PPPR applications and contracting out agreements. She works closely with the firm’s family law team, including Director Justine Baird, and is gaining significant experience in both negotiated resolutions and Family Court proceedings.
In addition to her family law practice, Isabelle has a well-developed criminal law practice. She is an approved PAL1 criminal legal aid provider and duty lawyer and regularly appears in the Alexandra and Queenstown District Courts. She advises clients on a broad range of criminal matters, including traffic offending, limited licence applications, and more serious charges involving violence, dishonesty and drug-related offending.
Isabelle understands that both family and criminal matters are often highly personal and stressful for clients. She is known for her calm, focused approach and her ability to provide clear, practical advice while working towards efficient and effective outcomes.
Since joining Checketts McKay Law, Isabelle has continued to develop her litigation skills and is becoming an increasingly important member of the firm’s dispute resolution and family law capability.
